STRING THEORY 6 extends the series’ exploration of tension, movement and materiality through the physical imprint of string. Black lines traverse the canvas with visible gaps, smudges and stray fibres—marks that disrupt the precision of earlier works and introduce a raw, tactile energy. The string’s pressure and drag become part of the composition, revealing the process as much as the form.
Set against a crisp white ground, the primary colours ignite across the surface, their clarity heightened by the stark contrast. The result is a bright, dynamic abstract painting that celebrates imperfection, gesture and the unexpected rhythms created when controlled structure meets organic interruption. A vibrant work designed to enliven and expand even the smallest space.
