4 separate framed canvases form this large art piece, each 80cm x 100cm.
An ever-expanding series of squares rotated slightly on the canvases creates an illusion of movement through this piece. Each canvas if framed in a white floating frame and when hung create an image at least 205cm wide by 165cm high, allowing for a 5cm gap between each frame.
Created using a single wooden skewer, the entire image is made up of a series of small dots of acrylic colour placed layer over layer to produce a work the has depth of colour and texture across the canvas.
This slow and delicate process took 1 full year to create and is the most time-consuming work I have ever created, but I think you will agree the result was worth the time. It is the process of creation that leads to the name SQUARE MEDITATIONS. The time spent on these 4 canvases became a yearlong meditation teaching patients and commitment.
