Square Meditations is a monumental four‑panel work, each canvas measuring 80 × 100 cm and framed in Tasmanian oak. Together, the pieces form a commanding installation over two metres wide, their precise spacing creating a unified field of colour, rhythm, and spatial tension. A sequence of ever‑expanding squares, each subtly rotated, generates a quiet optical movement that draws the viewer inward, as though the image is breathing or unfolding in time.
The entire composition is created using a single wooden skewer, applying thousands of acrylic dots in layered chromatic fields. This slow, meditative process—undertaken over the course of a full year—builds a surface rich in depth, texture, and tonal complexity. The work’s title reflects both the visual structure and the contemplative discipline required to produce it; each dot becomes a moment of focus, patience, and presence.
With its scale, precision, and serene energy, Square Meditations is ideally suited to a commercial foyer, boardroom, or architectural space seeking a statement of calm authority. In a residential setting, it transforms a large wall into a site of quiet dynamism, offering viewers a sense of balance, movement, and contemplative stillness.
