SATELLITE 2 extends the visual language of its companion work with a bold geometric composition that evokes the familiar silhouette of classical space satellites. A dominant red core anchors the painting, its concentrated colour suggesting an inner intelligence directing the movement and purpose of the surrounding forms. From this centre, green and blue panels radiate outward like articulated wings, each tethered by crisp black lines that emphasise both structure and fragility.

While the imagery gestures toward orbiting technology, the work also draws its metaphor back to earth. The relationship between the central module and its connected panels mirrors the dynamic between a city and its surrounding towns—communities often described as “satellites,” reliant on the energy, movement and prosperity of the urban core. This dual reading allows the painting to oscillate between the extraterrestrial and the everyday, between engineered systems and human geographies.

Set against a clean, light ground, the vivid colour blocks and precise geometry create a sense of order, rhythm and quiet tension. SATELLITE 2 becomes both a symbolic map and a speculative machine—an exploration of connection, dependence and the unseen forces that organise the spaces we inhabit.
