SATELLITE 1 is a vivid geometric composition that reimagines the familiar silhouette of a classical satellite. A dominant red circular core anchors the work, its tightly structured segments suggesting an intelligence or force at work within—an inner module directing the movement and purpose of the surrounding forms. From this central presence, thin black lines extend outward like fragile connectors, linking to brightly coloured panels that echo the “wings” of orbital machinery.

Set against a fresh cream ground, the painting balances mechanical precision with a subtle unease. The bold, locked‑in colour fields and sharply defined black linework create a sense of order, yet the implied hierarchy between the core and its orbiting elements introduces a more sinister undertone—control, surveillance, or unseen influence.

Beyond its reference to spacecraft, the artwork expands into a metaphor for urban structure: a central city hub radiating into suburbs and villages, networks of movement and communication flowing along the connecting lines. The geometric forms become districts, pathways, and communities, each contained yet interdependent.

SATELLITE 1 is both a study in colour and structure and a reflection on the systems—technological and social—that bind us together.
