CEILING is a painting inspired by the pressed metal ceiling moldings common in federation style homes throughout Queensland. These 3-dimensional ceiling decorations are recreated in this work through the use of various mediums to build a textural work reminiscent of the original inspiration. Where the common examples of this building decor are usually painted white this work returns the colour to the scene presented.
