ANGER RISING is a geometric abstract artwork that developed from a period of personal internal torment.
The calm upper surface, full of bright and varied colours is the usual control someone has in everyday situations while the bottom half, full of angry reds represents that bubbling frustration and anger rising to the surface.
This piece is a pictorial representation of a period when outside forces were pushing me to a brink of explosion. Like a spectator viewing from the sidelines, I could watch the change happen and feel my control giving way to an inner fury.
The use of fine black linework that separates each space which is painted layer upon layer with the use of a small fine brush to create depth of colour on this abstract canvas.
