ANGER RISING is a geometric abstract born from a period of intense internal turmoil. The upper half of the canvas, composed of bright, varied colours, represents the outward calm and controlled surface we present in everyday life. Beneath it, a field of deep reds and heated tones pushes upward, symbolising frustration and anger rising toward the point of eruption.
This work captures the unsettling experience of watching oneself from the sidelines—aware of the shift, feeling composure slip, and recognising the moment when external pressures ignite an inner fury. Fine black linework divides each shape, while layered applications of synthetic polymer create depth and richness across the surface, reinforcing the tension between restraint and volatility.
