9 OUT OF 10 is an abstract artwork that explores the feelings on drug withdrawal. Created after a stay in hospital when regular medications were not readily available. This piece of abstract art shows the slow withdrawal from medications creating a brain 'fuzz' and confusion.
Created using a palette knife to blend and move colour across the canvas. There is no focal point on the canvas for the eye to rest reflecting the inability of the mind to find a footing during a time of stress. The resulting painting shows the movement of the mind as it reaches a point where it almost breaks.
